Bullet Journal(s) – Why I Use Them

A “bullet journal” can be used as a planner, calendar, journaling, sketchbook and even a place to jot down notes or your every day thoughts.

I am currently using several bullet journals in my every day life. My journals include a goals journal, things to do journal, a planning journal (I have one for yearly, monthly, weekly and daily), blog pages… this one is my favorite. I also have a health bullet journal. Setting goals has never been my favorite thing to do but as I’ve grown into an adult and now getting married, I realized that setting goals is essential to living a healthy and organized life. I have set weekly goals, monthly goals, and yearly goals. I have even started brainstorming different goals for five to ten years down the road.

My “Things to do” journal is filled with fun things that I either need to do or things that interest me. In this journal I have documented a daily “to do” list, bucket list, and a list of vocabulary words I’d like to learn the meaning to. This type of journal is hard for me to keep track of because I am not exactly enclined to do my “daily tasks”. I also like documenting vocabulary words I don’t know the meaning too or want to learn more about the word. I love learning new things. I just downloaded an app that helps you learn regular English words and the meaning to each word, along with different languages. I will be using this app on a daily basis.

I have also started a “planning” bullet journal. In this journal I can easily start a yearly, monthly, weekly, and daily schedule or planner. I also find this type of bullet journal to be helpful documenting important dates and deadlines. This journal has helped me tremendously with planning my wedding. With me and my fiancé schedules it helps to see our weekly plans laid out so we know when we can and can’t schedule appointments regarding our wedding. I also use this journal for all of our doctors appointments and physical therapy exercises. This journal helps us live our every day lives without feeling overwhelmed.

My most treasured bullet journal is my “health” journal. This journal helps me document meals, my favorite recipes, a food tracker, and a water tracker. I like to use each bullet journal to its full potential because it keeps me and my fiancé healthy. I also love this journal because I am not a huge fan of drinking water but because of my disability I need to make sure I am drinking plenty of water. When I started this journal I was only drinking two-three glasses of water a day. Now, I’m drinking five-six glasses a day. My fiancé likes this journal because we know what we are going to have for dinner each night which helps curve the urge to go out to a fast food restaurant.

Another great bullet journal to start for all of us bloggers would be a “blog” journal. This journal I have not started but I look forward to starting one. This type of journal would help document an editorial calendar and a blog writing schedule. This journal could also help bloggers who blog for a living document social media information and income vs. expenses relating to his or her blog.

Now that I have shared all this information with you guys, I look forward to answering any questions you may have. Please don’t hesitate to message me with any questions, comments or concerns you may have.
